For Swallowsfeet’s fifth year, we are bringing together a very special programme to celebrate the ‘contemporary’; a snap shot of the very best original dance makers from around the globe. However, unfortunately our bids to the Arts Council for this year have been unsuccessful. The arts funding landscape remains tough and unpredictable with less and less funds available and greater pressures on all aspects of public funding. Yet, this is why, more than ever, it’s important for artists to be given the chance to flourish. Arts and culture are undeniably, one of the best ways to bring communities together.

We were compelled to continue with an amended 2017 programme, find alternative sources of funding and provide the best support we can for the independent artists we work with.

We are currently on the look out for individuals or organisations who would be interested in becoming ‘friends of Swallowsfeet’ and helping us to provide for Swallowsfeet’s future... please do get in touch if this sounds like you!
